Whether you want to learn more about wine or enjoy tasting new varietals, there are 16 winemakers eager to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with you in a festive and informative way.

From learning how grapes are pruned to what machines and tools a winemaker uses to make delicious Pinot Noir, the winemakers of the Cascade Foothills Winegrowers will answer those questions and more at the taste. learn. celebrate! wine festival.
The event will satisfy both the palettes and the curiosity of wine enthusiasts. Cascade Foothills Winegrowers (CFW) is a collective of 16 artisan winemakers and growers tucked along 40 miles of beautiful country roads and exquisite mountain views. Stretching from Stayton and Aumsville through the communities of Silverton, Canby and Oregon City, the CFW represents wineries along the east side of the Willamette Valley.
Entry is $15 per person, and includes 10 tastes, a commemorative wineglass and educational talks from winemakers on topics including:
· Minding the vine: how grapes are farmed.
· Picking grapes: Handpicked vs. Machine.
· Behind the scenes look: What really happens in the winery during crush.
· Reds and Whites: Exploring their different paths.
· The final touch: Getting the wine in a bottle.
Wine enthusiasts will be able to mingle with the winemakers, learn about the process of making wine in the Cascade Foothills, and enjoy hard-to-find-wines. Tractors, bottling lines, corkers and labelers will be on display as we show how wine goes from the vineyard to the tasting room.
Winemakers of the Cascade Foothills Winegrowers invite their fellow Oregonians to discover the unique byways of this slightly undiscovered part of the Willamette Valley, just minutes from Portland or Salem. This is a family-friendly event.
The participating wineries are Alexeli, Aurora Cellars, Christopher Bridge, Forest Edge, Hanson, King’s Raven, Paradis, Pheasant Run, Piluso, Pudding River, Silver Falls, St. Josef’s,
Villa Catalana, Vitis Ridge, Whiskey Hill and Wooden Shoe.
